At Eyedolise, we’ve always believed that eyes tell a story — and for many of our customers, their dogs are just as much a part of that tale as any family member.

With Alex’s veterinary expertise and Steve’s 40 years of commercial photography experience, we realised we had the perfect combination of skills to make this possible. So we tested, refined, adjusted, and perfected the technique. We are now proud to introduce Eyedogise, our dedicated iris photography service for dogs.

Eyedogise is the only iris photography service run by a commercial photographer and a veterinary surgeon.
This combination of technical skill, animal understanding, and photographic precision makes us uniquely qualified to capture a dog’s iris safely, calmly and beautifully.

You now have the chance to come and visit us for your iris photography events. Be that at a festival, Dog Show or pop-up.
We understand the importance of capturing special moments, especially with loved ones. By booking a specific date, you can ensure that everyone is available, making it perfect for family portraits. That's why one day most months, usually a Saturday or Sunday, we have a pop-up event at the home of Eyedolise in Suffolk.

Initially focused on events, the overwhelming demand has led us to expand our services. Now, we’ll pull up in our iconic VW Campervan, "Lovely Breeze." We simply open the door, you step inside, and let us capture the beauty of your irises in a comfortable setting.

Price for an image of your eye is £40. For this price you will receive a digital file which you can print up yourself to A4 size

Individual eye images will be sent as 3500px X 3500px @ 300 DPI jpeg file.

Multiple eyes will be sent as a square image at 3500px X 3500px @ 300 DPI jpeg file.
​
Two eyes will be sent as a landscape image at 3500px X 2500px @ 300 DPI jpeg file.

All files are of a high quality and can be printed up to A4

Yes, you can. Our setup means we can easily switch from your left to your right eye. Your eyes are normally very similar, but one might have a little speckle or something else. We always love to choose the eye that is most unique to you.
We aim to send the files to you digitally within 3 working days, so if the event was on a Saturday, we are looking at Wednesday evening.
For festivals it will be 3 working days from the end of the festival.
Yes, you can get larger print by ordering them from our website shop , where you will find a variety of options from stunning Acrylic wall art to framed canvas prints.
The files you receive with the £40 photo session are large enough to print up to A4.
You can have larger wall art made by heading to our shop page and when creating them, we use a higher res file.
If you would prefer to arrange the printing yourself then you can buy the High res files, which will print up to A1 in size.

The cost for one file is £50 for a single eye or £75 for a group of eyes.

When you have your eye photographed, you will receive either an explosion effect for a single eye or a clash for multiple eyes.
If you would like a different effect added afterwards, then there will be a £10 editing charge per eye.
Normaly around 10 minutes per person
No, an iris photo can’t be used to access a bank account.
Banks use infrared biometric scans with depth and movement checks, so a normal photo of your eye cannot be turned into a security fingerprint or used to unlock anything.
Yes
Soft or daily lenses can typically be worn during photography sessions, but if you can remove them, it would be better. Coloured or hard contact lenses must be removed.
We will store the images for 5 years so if you need a print in the future or want us to resend your digital files we can.
Before your eyes are photographed we ask you if we can use your images for our marketing.
If you have a medical condition affecting your eyes or epilepsy, it's essential to consult a doctor to determine if exposure to bright lights is safe for you. Whilst you can proceed with the photography, please understand that it will be at your discretion, and we cannot be held liable for any potential side effects. We can show you the process so you can see the lights we use.

We say 5 years old as you need to sit very still when the photography is being done. Saying that we have done a 2 year old. If you think they might stay still we are happy to try. If it doesn't work then we won't charge you.
Yes you can. Approximately once a month we hold a pop-up event in Icklingham which you can book via our website. Head to the events page.
Yes we can. We have set up an iris studio in our VW campervan so we can come to your door step.
For this there's a surcharge of £50 plus mileage of £2 per mile from IP28 6PS.
So, if a couple would like their eyes photographed and lived 35 miles away the cost would be:
£40 x 2 for photography = £80
Surcharge = £50
Mileage = £70
Total = £200
