Eyedogise
Iris Photography for Dogs

A Unique Way to Celebrate The Dogs You Love

Eyedogise is the only iris photography service run by a commercial photographer and a veterinary surgeon. This combination of technical skill, animal understanding, and photographic precision makes us uniquely qualified to capture a dog’s iris safely, calmly and beautifully.

We believe we are the only iris photography business in the world offering this level of expertise.

Eyedogise is designed for people who adore their dogs and want a piece of art that celebrates their personality and the bond you share.

Whether displayed alone or paired with your own iris, the result is a stunning, one‑of‑a‑kind artwork that feels deeply personal.

How Eyedogise Works

Capturing a dog’s iris is different and more challenging than photographing a human eye,

which is why we have dedicated Eyedogise events. We can still photograph human eyes at an Eyedogise event, but the day is focused on the best set-up for dogs.

Here is a simple guide to help you assess whether your pet is a suitable candidate.

1. Sit & Stay

Your dog needs to be able to sit and look at their owner or someone else for around 10 seconds at a time. Treats or favourite toys work brilliantly to keep their attention.

2. If you want to hold your dog

If sitting isn’t their thing, they can be gently held in someone’s arms or on a lap.

The dog will still be required to stare up at something or someone.

3. Both Eyes Photographed

We photograph both eyes and choose the best images.

It is rare that we can obtain a picture of the entire iris in a dog so we usually have to use multiple images and blend them together.

4. Camera Familiarisation

Your dog should be comfortable around new people and happy to have a camera brought close to their face.

A great tip: take a few photos at home with your phone with the flash on so they’re used to the light. If you have a proper camera or can create something that looks like one then familiarising your pet to this is ideal.

5. Suitability

Not every dog can be photographed. If your dog is anxious around strangers or gets stressed with the camera flash then they won’t be suitable. Some dogs have excess skin or hair around their eyes. There are many issues that can make iris photography physically impossible and/or unethical in dogs.

Our veterinary team will assess your dog’s suitability.

We always take time to help your dog settle but if they show signs of stress, we won’t proceed.

6. Pricing

Dog iris photography takes more time and more detailed editing, so the cost is higher than a human iris session.

The cost to capture a dog's eye is £60 per dog.

7. Dedicated Calm Space

At Eyedogise events, we use a dedicated gazebo to create a quiet, comfortable environment away from noise and distraction.

We can also photograph the owner's eyes on the same day, but this will be in our VW Campervan studio.

At Eyedolise, we’ve always believed that eyes tell a story.

For many of our customers, their dogs are a big part of that ‘tail’.

Let us tell your story in a truly
unique and stunning way.
